Certificate of Analysis library

Every batch, documented before it ships.

We test every batch before it goes out. Purity runs to 99%+ on HPLC, and we confirm the peptide’s identity by mass spec through Janoshik and domestic US labs.

Your vial’s certificate is in the library below. Search by product or batch number to find the one that matches your lot.

The panel varies by lot and by laboratory — open any certificate to see exactly which assays that lot reports. A dash means that field is not listed in this table; the figure is on the certificate itself. Results relate only to the portion of the sample tested.

Older certificates are never deleted. If you need the record for an earlier batch that is not listed above, it is in our archive. Email us with the product name and batch number and we will locate the document.

How to read a peptide COA Our quality testing methodology

What you are reading

What every certificate includes

Identity and purity results appear on every batch. Heavy metals, sterility and endotoxin appear on batches in our rotating testing cycle. We ship at 99%+ purity by HPLC peak area, and any batch that fails any test is quarantined and not released.

The testing behind these certificates

Two tests run on every batch. Three more run across batches.

Knowing which is which tells you exactly what a given certificate can and cannot tell you — so we would rather set it out plainly than let a long list of test names imply more than it should.

Identity and purity are the floor for research-grade material, and they run without exception. The secondary panel measures the environment a batch came out of, and is sampled on a schedule.

Every batch: identity and purity

Identity (LC-MS) is the qualitative test — it answers is this the right molecule? Mass spectrometry measures the molecular weight of what is actually in the vial and compares it against the theoretical mass of the target peptide. A truncated chain, a wrong sequence, or a different compound entirely will not match. This is the test that catches substitution and mislabelling, the failure that quietly invalidates everything downstream, because every calculation made afterwards assumes the compound is what the label says.

Purity (RP-HPLC) is the quantitative test — it answers how much of it is the target compound? Reverse-phase HPLC separates the sample into its components and measures each as a percentage of total peak area at 210–220 nm. Our catalogue standard is 99% or better, with B7-33 at 98% or better. The balance is typically synthesis-related material: deletion sequences, incomplete couplings and residual counter-ions.

Neither test means much alone. Identity without purity confirms the right compound is present but not how much of the vial it accounts for. Purity without identity confirms the sample is 99% something. Together they are the floor for research-grade material, which is why they run on every batch without exception.

Rotating cycle: heavy metals, sterility and endotoxin

Heavy metals (ICP-MS), sterility (USP <71>) and bacterial endotoxin (LAL, USP <85>) run on a rotating cycle across batches rather than on every lot.

The reason is what these three assays actually measure. Unlike identity and purity, they reflect the synthesis and handling environment more than the individual lot. Contamination of this kind is a property of a process rather than a coincidence of a batch: a clean process yields clean lots consistently, and a compromised one yields compromised lots consistently. Monitoring that reliably means sampling lots across the production run on a schedule, which is what a rotating programme does — it surfaces drift in the process rather than re-confirming a single vial.

If your application needs per-lot sterility or endotoxin data — cell culture, or any work where a pyrogenic response would confound the readout — contact us before ordering and we will confirm the secondary data available for the lot currently in stock.

A checklist you can use anywhere

How to judge any supplier’s certificate

Including ours. Work down the list in order — each check is cheaper to make than the one below it, and the first failure usually ends the question.

  1. 1

It should exist before you pay

If a certificate cannot be produced until after an order is placed, that is the answer to the question you were asking.

  2. 2

    It should name the laboratory

And be verifiable on that laboratory’s own platform, not a PDF that exists only on the vendor’s server.

  3. 3

    It should show the chromatogram

“99% pure” without a trace behind it is a claim. The trace is the evidence, and it reveals the impurity profile that a single figure hides.

  4. 4

    It should name the method

A purity figure should carry its technique and conditions, such as RP-HPLC at UV 210–220 nm. “Tested and passed” is not a result.

  5. 5

    It should be current

A certificate from a lot released eighteen months ago describes that lot and no other.

  6. 6

    Ask what runs every batch

A straight answer about per-lot versus periodic testing is more informative than a long list of test names.

Matching your vial

How to verify your COA

The lot ID printed on your vial is the key to the whole library. Everything else follows from it.

  1. 01 Find the product name on your order confirmation.
  2. 02 Locate the matching row in the library above, or search for it by name or lot.
  3. 03 Check the lot ID in the table against the one printed on your vial.
  4. 04 Open the certificate — the lab-issued document loads in a new tab.
  5. 05 Read each result with its pass/fail status and quantified value.

About Janoshik Analytical

The lab that tests our batches does not sell peptides.

Janoshik Analytical is an independent analytical laboratory. They test samples for vendors and publish the results directly, and they have nothing in the catalogue to protect. That independence is why their certificates are the most-cited credibility signal on vendor comparison sites — Outliyr, ThePeptideCatalog, Cernum Biosciences and PeptideDeck among them.

We also use US-based laboratories on the same terms. No one in the testing chain has any reason to flatter a result, and the number you read on a certificate is the number they measured.
