Units

Research Peptide Units

Peptide units are pre-measured oral research formulations designed for protocols where reconstituted injectable vials introduce too much variability. Life Link Research currently stocks two unit SKUs — a co-formulated BPC-157 arginine salt / KPV blend (500mcg/500mcg, 100 units) and SLU-PP-332 (30mg, 100 units) — both tested by LCMS to >99% purity and shipped from US stock for licensed in-vitro and animal research only.

Why units vs. lyophilized vials?

Format Best for Trade-offs
Oral units (LLR) Animal-model gavage studies, oral-bioavailability research, fixed-dose protocols, multi-week dosing schedules Fixed dose per unit; no reconstitution step; lower variability between handlers
Lyophilized vials Injectable preclinical work, dose-titration studies, blinded multi-arm protocols Requires bacteriostatic water and accurate reconstitution; variance accumulates across handlers

Common research applications

  • BPC-157 / KPV blend: investigated in preclinical models for gastrointestinal mucosa repair, inflammatory cytokine modulation (IL-6, TNF-α), and dermal/mucosal healing pathways. KPV is a tripeptide fragment of α-MSH studied for anti-inflammatory signaling.
  • SLU-PP-332: a pan-estrogen-related receptor (ERRα/β/γ) agonist studied in mouse models for mitochondrial biogenesis, oxidative metabolism, and exercise-mimetic signaling — published research from Saint Louis University reported increased running endurance in treated mice.

Frequently asked questions

Are these units for human consumption?
No. Every units sold by Life Link Research is for in-vitro and licensed animal research only. Products are not drugs, supplements, or dietary products, and are not approved by the FDA for any use in humans.

What purity and testing standards apply to these units?
Every batch is tested by LCMS for identity and purity. Certificates of analysis are available on request for licensed institutional buyers.

Why are some peptides available as units instead of vials?
Units suit research designs that require oral dosing, fixed unit doses, or protocols where reconstitution variability would confound results. They are not necessarily more or less bioavailable than injectable formats — that is itself an active research question for each compound.

How should peptide units be stored?
Store sealed in a cool, dry place away from direct light. Refrigeration extends shelf stability for long-term studies. Always follow your institution’s chemical-storage SOP.

Do these units contain excipients?
Yes — research units include standard pharmaceutical-grade carrier compounds to deliver consistent unit doses. Full excipient breakdown is provided in the certificate of analysis for each batch.
