Bacteriostatic Water is sterile water preserved with 0.9% benzyl alcohol, intended for use as a reconstitution vehicle for lyophilized research compounds. The benzyl alcohol preservative inhibits bacterial growth, allowing the solution to maintain sterility across repeated punctures of the stopper.
